All 1928 Renta de Timbre issues were produced by official request #2 from October 5, 1927 and printed by ABNC.

In June, 1933 some of the above stamps were overprinted with signatures to stop the use of stamps that were stolen in 1932. The letter a is added to the catalog number to indicate the stamp carries such a signature.
